CUMULUS MEDIA (Dallas, TX) Legendary News/Talk 820 AM-93.3 FM WBAP is looking for its next Superstar Talk Show Host. Candidates must be entertaining, curious, funny, well‑read, up on all current events and pop culture, not just politics. This is an 8 hr. a day, full‑time job doing prep and research that translates and relates to a 35‑64 year‑old listener. Must have an extremely strong work ethic, work well with others, a team player, coachable, embrace all social media platforms daily, be a great interviewer, and have a proven track record of radio ratings success.

The right fit for this job is extremely reliable, flexible and passionate about radio and digital audio mediums.

• Prepare the day’s top stories and support guest booking efforts in collaboration with the show producer.
• Incorporate news sound bites effectively to enhance show content and listener engagement.
• Partner closely with the Program Director and News Director to align content with the station’s strategic goals.
• Deliver clear, compelling, and effective live endorsements during broadcasts.
• Manage daily social media activity by posting relevant, audience‑focused content across all platforms.
• Monitor and respond appropriately to breaking news, ensuring timely and accurate coverage.
• Oversee the technical quality and accuracy of all incoming and outgoing on‑air programming for the show.
• Participate confidently in remote broadcasts and represent the show at public appearances and events.

• On‑air experience with successful ratings history preferred.
• Strong production skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and social networking.
• Strong knowledge of FCC rules and regulations.
• Socially informed and perceptive; up‑to‑date and in tune daily with the local and national trends and/or specialized knowledge of topics/events related to on‑air discussions.
• Demonstrated creativity and imagination on air and online.
• Thrives in a team environment.
• Demo of show, interviews, commentary, social media and any video work should be added to online profile/application.
• Familiar with audio mixers and remote monitoring systems for radio transmissions.
• Available for emergency wall‑to‑wall coverage if necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
