The Content Editor performs substantive editing, copyediting, and proofreading of website content, data‑driven research reports, executive speeches, event materials, internal communications, memos, short‑form marketing content and more. The role also includes writing narrative stories, social media posts, newsletters, and internal announcements. It is part of the Dallas Fed’s integrated communications team, helping engage audiences through web, internal channels, social media, email marketing and more.

• Perform substantive directional editing, copyediting, fact‑checking, and proofreading.
• Review content and charts for accuracy, clarity, consistency, organization, grammar, punctuation, style, and usage.
• Make content clearer and more engaging while safeguarding the Dallas Fed’s brand and reputation.
• Write content that supports organizational priorities and initiatives.
• Plan communications and content projects as part of a team, meeting customer requirements and schedules; serve as liaison, communicating with involved parties on editing topics.
• Implement best practices in editing and content across the organization.

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, public relations, English or a related field.
• 3–5 years of editing and writing experience in news media, business, technical, academic or corporate content.
• Knowledge of AP style, familiarity with academic writing, and preference for experience editing for Federal Reserve, business, or economics.
• Knowledge of digital content best practices and experience guiding authors in effective writing.
• Ability to interpret data‑rich charts and infographics, determining accuracy of the articles they support.
• Ability to deliver work under tight deadlines with meticulous attention to detail.
• Familiarity with generative‑AI practices in creating and editing content.
