We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Construction Project Manager to support industrial construction projects in the Dallas area. This hands‑on role is ideal for an Assistant Project Manager who wants increased responsibility and a clear path toward a full Project Manager role. You will work closely with senior project leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to high quality standards.
Role OverviewThe Assistant Construction Project Manager will support the execution of industrial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role requires strong coordination skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance field and office responsibilities in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Project Manager with planning, coordination, and execution from preconstruction through project closeout
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials, services, and milestones
- Assist with project scheduling, budget tracking, cost control, and resource allocation
- Monitor jobsite progress, identify potential issues or delays, and communicate updates to project leadership
- Participate in preconstruction meetings, design reviews, and site inspections to support proactive decision‑making
- Maintain accurate project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, daily reports, and progress tracking
- Support safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while promoting accountability on the jobsite
- Identify potential project risks and assist in developing solutions to prevent schedule, cost, or quality impacts
- Assist with communication between clients, architects, engineers, and field teams to resolve issues efficiently
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and best practices to enhance project execution
- 2+ years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager in construction
- Exposure to industrial construction projects preferred
- Working knowledge of construction means and methods, building codes, and safety regulations
- Proficiency with Procore, Plan Grid, MS Project, or similar construction management platforms
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment
