M&E Quantity Surveyor​/Construction Cost Specialist

Overview

My client, an established firm of PQS, seeks an M&E Quantity Surveyor / Construction Cost Specialist to work as part of a team and join them in Dallas, Texas, USA with some travel required on each project.

You will work on a range of projects for construction and fit out of data centres.

This is a great opportunity to join a firm that has opened an office in the USA and is expanding there; the company offers good prospects.

• White space fit out of data centres and related work, including managing the tenant side for change orders and payment applications.
• Manage risk exposure and maintain risk registers, among other cost management duties.

• Approximately five years of construction cost experience, with around two years on construction costs for both fit out and new build for data centres.
• Degree or similar qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Economics or a related construction/engineering field.
• Experience with a mix of MEP (Mechanical & Electrical Services) plus building fabric and infrastructure.
• Experience in working for a firm of construction consultants and/or a large contractor.
• Good client-facing skills and ability to deal with tenant requirements; experience with payment applications and change orders.
• Current GREEN CARD or US Visa to work (role to be filled quickly).
• Excellent English (written and spoken) and good IT skills; strong client-facing capabilities.

Salary is in the region of US $100,000 to US $125,000 per annum, negotiable, plus benefits including health insurance, 401K, bonus, and more.
