We are seeking a hands‑on General Manager - Commercial Aquatics with extensive experience in commercial pool construction. This leader will oversee all aspects of large‑scale and complex pool projects, driving successful delivery from pre‑construction through turnover. The role requires both strategic oversight and tactical execution, ensuring projects meet timelines, budgets, safety standards, and quality expectations while leading high‑performing crews and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee end‑to‑end field operations for commercial pool construction projects, from site preparation to final inspection and turnover.
• Manage field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure alignment with project specifications, safety protocols, and deadlines.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor quality control, job progress, and OSHA compliance.
• Lead project scheduling, reporting, and budget tracking across multiple active projects.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, and internal stakeholders to resolve site issues and meet milestones.
• Standardize field processes and implement best practices to enhance delivery efficiency and profitability.
• Hire, train, and retain experienced crews and subcontractors with commercial project expertise.
• Ensure all permitting, code requirements, and inspections are completed accurately and on time.
Qualifications:
• 8–10 years of experience in a large pool construction company, with at least 5+ years in commercial pool project management.
• Proven ability to manage multiple job sites, complex construction scopes, and vendor relationships. Hands‑on subject matter expert.
• Strong leadership background in high‑accountability, fast‑paced environments.
• Expertise in construction scheduling, job costing, and risk management.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
• This role requires a local candidate who can commute daily or frequently to project sites.
• Proficiency with construction management software preferred (e.g., Buildertrend, Procore, or similar) & strong leadership, project management.
