The Construction & Manufacturing Team supports all of Haskell's delivery groups across the company and the projects throughout the United States. The team is responsible for providing field management personnel, from craft workers to Project Superintendents, and for logistical support such as establishing per diem rates, company trucks for superintendents, and coordinating arrivals for team members. We also offer continual training, including in‑house courses, online programs, and local jurisdiction apprenticeship opportunities.

In this role you will handle larger, more complex projects and serve as the single point of contact to communicate directly with owners/clients.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist project directors in responding to RFPs, including the preparation of conceptual estimates, schedules graduating, and other proposal documents. Participate in client presentations when required.
  • Monitor progress of design documents, participate in design review meetings, and provide input regarding constructability, scope, and cost changes. kvin
  • Prepare detailed estimates, cost‑code input, and cost‑control systems.
  • Prepare bid packages and invitation to bid inquiries; analyze bids, qualify subcontractors, award subcontracts and major purchase orders.
  • Work with the director of construction and core personnel to establish job organization, including superintendents and PCE requirements.
  • Plan, sequence, and schedule projects with inputs from superintendents and subcontractors; manage project schedules, conduct site meetings, and issue updated schedules.
  • Control project costs, updating labor cost reports, summary cost reports, and status summaries.
  • Coordinate permits, inspections, and final approvals with government authorities and A/Es.
  • Maintain submittal control: schedule, receive, review, approve, and expedite submittals from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Manage client relations, including progress meetings, correspondence, periodic reports, change orders, and client inquiries.
  • Prepare requisitions for payment and project invoicing; maximize cash flow through invoicing and collections.
  • Secure owner acceptance of contract change orders, issue modifications to subcontracts and purchase orders, and update budgets.
  • Manage subcontractor and vendor payments, including reviewing and approving schedules of value, pay requisitions, invoices, and insurance coverage.
  • Handle subcontractor and supplier performance issues, including documentation, default notices, and replacements if necessary.
  • Review and monitor project progress, safety, and quality; work with the superintendent to correct issues per contract and company policy.
  • Assist in developing construction personnel through mentoring and training.
  • Manage project close‑out tasks and warranty work.
Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management, or equivalent, plus at least eight years of experience in construction management.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, and Certifications
  • Knowledge of the design and construction of industrial water/wastewater facilities.
  • Research experience is a plus; excellent communication, organizational, and follow‑up skills desired.
  • Excellent sales and customer‑relationship skills.
  • Self‑motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic.
  • Independent, time‑management થતા; able to prioritize tasks.
  • Strong computer skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
  • Requires 50%+ travel.
