Responsibilities- Advocate safety as the top priority on the job site and enforce compliance with company and job‑site safety plans, policies, and all safety‑related regulations.
- Partner with Estimating, Division Management and Project Management to supervise, direct, and coordinate the management of construction projects, liaison with owners, designers, and subcontractors to ensure efficient and orderly project performance.
- Develop and implement detailed schedules and production plans with budget and safety goals in mind.
- Assist the Project Manager in preparing project status reports.
- Maintain daily, progress, compliance reports and logs.
- Oversee the review of plans and drawings per contract documents and coordinate shop drawings.
- Procure tools and materials needed to ensure availability according to the work schedule.
- Determine staffing levels and timing based on building methodology and tool/equipment availability for each project phase.
- Recruit, hire and direct all on‑site field personnel in accordance with HR processes and procedures.
- Prepare or oversee submission of payroll to Payroll Department and ensure all required documentation complies with HR and payroll policies.
- Work with supervisory personnel, employees, engineers, architects, subcontractors, inspectors, and suppliers to improve construction methods and resolve issues.
- Ensure construction schedules are adhered to by determining appropriate staffing levels and material/tool procurement.
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors to monitor their compliance with subcontract terms.
- Follow and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and oversee regulatory inspections.
- 4–7 years of experience in healthcare construction.
- Experience serving as lead superintendent on at least one project.
- Experience on projects up to $80M preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Able to work significant portions of the day outside on a construction site.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and work at heights.
- Must be able to work in all types of weather, including exposure to extreme heat and cold, and in all kinds of work environments.
- Able to lift/move up to 70 pounds.
- Able to stand, crawl, climb ladders and stairs, balance, stoop, and kneel; and perform other physical activities associated with construction sites.
- Must be able to withstand long periods of noise, fumes, airborne particles, and other construction site conditions.
- Use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
