Job Title: Civil Construction Project Manager
Reports to: Director of Project Management
Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 DOE
Travel: 100% within the central United States

Job SummaryWe are looking for a Civil Construction Project Manager who lives our core values and vision, leading our field crews to greatness and building lasting relationships with our partners. The Civil Construction Project Manager will oversee and coordinate various civil construction projects from start to finish, ensuring schedules and budgets are met, while supporting, coaching, and providing guidance to Project Superintendents.
The Civil Construction Project Manager will oversee and facilitate the Owner/Client partnership in the field.
- Lead by example in a way that reflects our company culture and core values.
- Oversee a team of superintendents to ensure projects are completed to specification, on time and on budget.
- Determine needed resources including manpower, equipment, and materials from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
- Manage each subcontractor to ensure work meets quality standards and adheres to specifications.
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.
- Schedule and coordinate projects for efficiency and quality.
- Regularly communicate with clients concerning budget, schedule and quantity tracking.
- Ensure adherence to the budget and make quick adjustments when unexpected complications arise.
- Support the superintendent in coordinating project needs and manpower and assist in directing day‑to‑day field activities as needed.
- Ensure safety standards and guidelines are followed on the jobsite and meet all safety codes.
- Coordinate and communicate with the team regarding contract revisions, additions, and adherence by all parties.
- Collaborate with clients, supervisory staff, subcontractors, and engineers to discuss and resolve challenges.
- Manage and lead actions necessary due to delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction sites.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with all involved parties.
- Build and maintain long‑term relationships with key vendors and subcontractors.
- Perform accurate project and budget tracking.
- Issue One Calls and keep them up to date.
- Ensure all Submittals and RFIs for the project are submitted and tracked for compliance.
- Work with Project Engineer on project specifications, submittals, RFIs, change orders and quantity tracking.
- Oversee multiple crews/projects as necessary.
- Participate in scheduling crews and evaluate manpower needs.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Project Management to provide updates on work in progress and support strategic forecasting for active projects.
- Work closely with the Director of Project Management to prepare and verify accurate monthly billing.
- Have knowledge of Topcon/Trimble GPS.
- 3‑5 years of civil construction experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
- Procore experience preferred.
- Thorough understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations.
- Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to make intelligent, quick decisions, working well under pressure and when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays.
- Ability to effectively multitask while analyzing and solving problems.
- Thorough understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Professional demeanor in any situation.
- Team player with leadership capabilities.
- Comfortable delegating tasks.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English is a mandatory requirement for this role.
- Ability to traverse and inspect all areas of a jobsite in all types of weather; may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds at a time.
- Travel required.
- Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers.
- On‑call availability to address delays, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues at the jobsite.
