Austin Bridge & Road has an outstanding opportunity for a Construction Project Scheduler supporting our DFW airport project
. The purpose of this position is to perform project controls administration including, but not limited to, the following: material expediting, quantity tracking, cost control, scheduling, document control, basic job cost management, subcontract management, and procurement. - Develop, update, and maintain project schedule
- Support weekly schedule update meetings with project team
- Support project team in issuing schedules, progress and commodity curves, basis of schedule, and histograms
- Perform resource loading and leveling
- Coordinate with the project team and/or subcontractors
- Perform schedule and progress analysis and make recommendations to the project team
- Assess impact of changes and deviations to the project schedule
- Assist in developing “what if” exercises and mitigation strategies
- Review the work hour forecast developed by the project team
- Develop the baseline construction schedule outlining the sequence of work to be performed
- Ensure that the schedule is updated per project requirements, based on change orders, field performance, availability of construction materials, and similar factors that can impact the final completion date
- Submit schedule updates to customer as required by the contract documents
- Ensure Weekly Progress, Manpower and Commodity Curves are developed, updated, and issued
- Issue Weekly Schedule Analysis Report
- Create detailed “Look Ahead” schedules and weekly updates as required
- Ability to interface with the Austin project team to gather information in the development and weekly updates of the project schedule
- Effective working relationships with customer, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Must have a strong commitment to jobsite safety and be diligent in demonstrating safe work practices
- Must be highly organized with an attention to detail
- Be an effective communicator
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and meet deadline
- Detailed working knowledge of Primavera Scheduling Software
- Airport experience (Preferred)
- Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Construction Management or related degree required
- Five years of scheduling experience preferred
- Read and interpret owner’s drawings and specifications to ensure accurate project schedule development
- Strong knowledge of Construction Systems and Trade Sequencing
- Presentation skills required in meetings and trainings
- Experience using Primavera (Oracle) P6 version or newer
