Overview

Cooper Fit & Fun Summer Camp is seeking highly motivated and energetic camp counselors who are passionate about working with children ages 5-7 (Kids Camp) and ages 8-12 (Youth Camp) during summer 2025. Duties Include
  • Taking direct responsibility for, leading, and forming relationships with a “pod” of about 10 campers each week, either ages 5-7 or 8-12.
  • Intentionally engaging with, caring for, and playing with all attending campers.
  • Planning and executing camp activities (games, sport activities, guided curriculum, etc.).
  • Communicating and working together effectively & regularly with managers, lead counselors, and fellow staff.
  • General support of camp operations.
  • Fostering a healthy, safe, and uplifting play environment.
  • Encouraging participation and positive attitudes from the campers.
  • Maintaining & setting up equipment.
  • Exhibiting servant leadership and empathy.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Must Be Available
  • All Staff:
    Training & Orientation, May 27th-29th, 9 AM – 5 PM
Daily Camp Counselor Schedule
  • 1st Half Counselor (5 weeks):
    June 1st – July 1st
  • 2nd Half Counselor (5 weeks):
    July 6th – August 7th
  • Full Summer Counselor (10 weeks):
    June 1st – August 7th
Requirements
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Must have previous experience working with children 5-12, as well as the ability to perform camp activities (swimming, games, sports activities, etc.).
  • Must be enthusiastic, empathetic, responsible, adaptable, and professional, and require little guidance or supervision in planning and executing camp activities.
  • Must be able to commit to a minimum of 5 of 10 weeks of camp at 40 hours per week.
  • Needs to have access to reliable transportation.
  • CPR certified (preferred).
