Job Summary

The Small Business Unit Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for assisting in servicing small commercial accounts while learning coverage fundamentals, agency workflows, and client management under the guidance of experienced Account Managers and Producers. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long‑term career in commercial insurance.

Job Type: Full‑Time

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Service a portfolio of small commercial accounts
  • Process policy renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and audits
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity by maintaining and documenting all client and carrier information and interactions in Applied Epic
  • Manage carrier service center relationships
  • Prepare and issue certificates of insurance, binders, and policy documents
  • Communicate with clients and carriers regarding routine service requests
  • Follow established renewal and remarketing workflows
  • Ensure files are complete and compliant with agency standards
  • Collaborate with Account Managers, Producers, and the Small Business team
  • Provide timely, professional customer service to support retention
  • Work collaboratively with team members and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders; participate in regular team meetings
  • Attend insurance company/vendor meetings, trainings, and functions to become familiar with their products and services
Qualifications
  • Required
    • 2–3 years of insurance experience
    • Interest in building a career in Commercial Lines insurance
    • Active Property & Casualty license
  • Preferred
    • Experience with Epic/Applied Agency Software

  • High attention to detail and willingness to follow processes
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues, managers, clients, and insurance companies
