The High Potential Movement exists for ambitious people who give a shit.
We host in-person workshops and community events designed to help professionals build confidence, executive presence, communication skills, and meaningful professional relationships—without performative networking or generic self-development fluff.
Our events are thoughtfully designed, alcohol-free, and centered around clarity, growth, and real connection. We are building a visible, values-driven professional community in Dallas—and we’re looking for interns who want to help build it from the inside.
Who This Is Perfect ForThis role is ideal for a college student (or recent graduate) who:
- Is interested in pursuing roles in business development, entrepreneurship, professional development, communications, or community building
- Wants deeper exposure to the Dallas business ecosystem
- Is personable and comfortable talking to new people
- Is excited about growth and personal development
- Wants meaningful responsibility, not busywork
You don’t need formal event experience. You do need initiative, professionalism, and follow-through.
What You’ll DoThis role blends operational support with real leadership development opportunities:
Event Execution- Assist with event setup and breakdown
- Support attendee check-in and guest welcome
- Help ensure smooth event flow and logistics
- Escort and assist guests and speakers
- Attend networking events in Dallas to represent The High Potential Movement
- Build relationships and personally invite attendees
- Support community engagement before and after events
- Opportunity to facilitate small portions of workshops or discussions
- Develop public speaking reps in a professional environment
- Contribute ideas to event format and experience
- Exposure to real-time business building and brand development
While this is an unpaid internship, the exposure and growth opportunities are significant.
Interns receive:
- Direct exposure to Dallas business leaders and ambitious professionals
- Meaningful visibility in rooms where internships, jobs, collaborations, and referrals often happen organically
- Professional-grade photos of themselves at events/public speaking
- Free access to all paid High Potential Movement workshops and programs
- 1:1 coaching and mentorship with Marissa Moyer
- Public speaking and facilitation experience
- A strong professional reference and portfolio-building experience
This is not an internship where you sit behind the scenes. You will be in the room, you'll meet people, and you’ll build confidence and connections that can directly impact your future career opportunities.
Time Commitment- Approximately 15 hours per month
- Required attendance at planning calls and monthly events (typically evenings or weekends)
- Time Frame: 6 months, March through August 2026
