What you’ll do:

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and refine the multi-year product strategy:

    • Market positioning, target segments, and competitive differentiation.
    • Role of the product within the broader portfolio.
    • Strategic bets and sequencing across customer journey stages.
  • Own the business case and economics:

    • Build and maintain models for revenue, cost, margin, and LTV/CAC.
    • Evaluate ROI for major product initiatives and investments.
    • Partner with finance to align on budgets and targets.
  • Lead portfolio and roadmap planning from a business lens:

    • Work with other PMs to prioritize features and initiatives based on impact and cost.
    • Facilitate tradeoff discussions and ensure alignment with strategy.
  • Partner with operations, care, and support teams to:

    • Understand cost drivers (support, returns, operations).
    • Identify opportunities to reduce cost-to-serve while improving experience.
  • Develop and track business-level KPIs:

    • Subscriber growth, ARPU, churn, attach rates, profitability.
    • Regularly report on progress to leadership and recommend course corrections.
  • Prepare and deliver materials for executive reviews, investment boards, and cross-functional forums.
  • Serve as the strategic thought partner to the overall product owner and senior leaders.
What you’ll need:

We’re looking for a business-focused Product Manager to drive the strategy, economics, and cross-functional alignment for our smart home security product. This role is focused on shaping the long-term vision, business model, and portfolio decisions, and ensuring that product investments deliver strong financial and strategic outcomes.

You will partner closely with finance, strategy, marketing, operations, and senior leadership to define where we play, how we win, and how we allocate resources.

What you’ll bring:
  • Ideal Experience & Skills
  • 5–10+ years across product management, corporate strategy, business operations, or similar roles.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills; able to build and stress-test business cases.
  • Experience in subscription businesses, consumer services, or telecom/technology is a plus.
  • Comfortable with market research, competitive analysis, and sizing opportunities.
  • Able to translate complex data and strategy into clear narratives and recommendations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills; can collaborate and influence across finance, operations, marketing, and product.
Success in 12 Months Looks Like
  • A clear, documented 1–3-year product strategy and business model, aligned with leadership.
  • A prioritization framework and portfolio view that guides product investment decisions.
  • Regular, trusted reporting on business performance with clear insights and actions.
  • Demonstrable improvements in unit economics, growth quality, or strategic positioning.

Our Lead Product Marketing & Development - Smart Home Products, earns between $143,800-$215,800 USD Annual, Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
