Client Relationship Manager
We are a growing paid media agency looking for an experienced Media Director to own and deepen our client relationships. This is a senior, client-facing role that sits at the intersection of strategy, communication, and performance. You will be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of retainer clients, ensuring they feel valued, informed, and confident in the work we deliver.
This role is critical to our next phase of growth. You will free our leadership team to focus on new business and agency development while you protect and grow the revenue base we have built. You are not an executor — you are a trusted advisor to our clients and a champion for their results.
What You'll Do- Own the day-to-day and strategic client relationship for a portfolio of paid media retainer accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for all client communication.
- Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews (QBRs), presenting performance results, strategic recommendations, and forward-looking plans with clarity and confidence.
- Partner closely with our media and channel teams to ensure flawless delivery and that client expectations are set and met.
- Proactively identify opportunities to expand scope and increase retainer value based on client goals — not for the sake of upselling, but because it's the right strategic move.
- Monitor account health across your portfolio and flag risks early, including churn signals, dissatisfaction, or strategic misalignment.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers on the client side.
- Contribute to the development of client-facing materials including proposals, strategy decks, and performance reports.
- Collaborate with agency leadership on retention initiatives, client feedback processes, and service improvements.
- 10+ years of agency experience in a client services or account management role, with at least 3 years directly managing paid media accounts in platform.
- Proven track record of managing and growing retainer relationships.
- Experience growing and nurturing a team of paid media experts.
- Strong fluency and deep expertise in paid media, able to easily navigate in platform (Google, Meta, Tik Tok, Reddit, Stack Adapt, etc.) to review, optimize, or QC campaigns.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills; you're comfortable leading a room and translating complex data into clear business narratives.
- Natural relationship builder who genuinely enjoys client interaction and thrives in a consultative, advisory capacity.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously without dropping the ball.
- A low-ego collaborator who works well with internal teams and treats account managers, planners, and specialists as partners.
- Entrepreneurial mindset — you're comfortable in a lean, fast-moving environment and can operate with autonomy.
- Experience working with e-commerce, B2B, B2C, or DTC brands.
- Familiarity with reporting platforms such as Google Looker Studio, Triple Whale, Northbeam, Hub Spot, or similar.
- Expertise in pixel and tag implementation (Google Tag Manager, Hub Spot, Shopify, etc.).
- Experience contributing to or leading the pitch process for new business.
- Google Ads or Meta Blueprint certifications.
