Business Operations ManagerResponsible for formulating, developing and implementing all business process workflows, policies, procedures and operating practices to streamline business operations.
Responsibilities- Create and build systems and tools to support the emerging business, including customer mgmt., program mgmt., governance and compliance, operations and finance systems.
- Develop streamlined workflows that efficiently and effectively support the business while ensuring appropriate governance and business controls.
- Support the successful standup and integration of business financial and operation tools from the ground up, providing integration clarity and functional cross‑over.
- Develop standard business process workflows and policies to guide the business with dashboard KPIs, metrics and critical success criteria for operational management and oversight.
- Create high‑level and process‑driver program management framework to guide consistent program management business processes to manage strategic, multi‑year customer/partner program deliverables across R&D, development, Ops and financial business needs.
- Collaborate with development project/program leads and executive leadership to create predictable forecasts for all awarded programs and development/service delivery milestones.
- Support the program management function, ensuring compliance with customer/partner program contractual requirements and deliverables.
- PMP Certified
- Lean Six Sigma Certified
- Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience
- Process engineering and business workflow experience
- Strong project management skills
- Engineering education or background to support R&D and development focused organization
- Technical agility, digital mindset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong data analytics, financial acumen, and operational metrics mindset
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Start-up, small business experience, from inception to established operation
- Technical/engineering background to support deep engagement with R&D and development organization
- US Federal Government customer/partner experience
- Management experience and experience leading teams, either directly or cross‑functionally
