Role SummaryWe are seeking a Chief of Staff to the CEO to act as a strategic thought partner and execution leader across Digi’s highest-priority initiatives.
This role sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, and leadership cadence. The Chief of Staff works directly with the CEO and closely with the executive team to translate priorities into action, drive cross-functional execution, and ensure the business runs with focus and discipline.
This is an ideal role for an experienced industry professional (2+ years) who wants exposure to executive decision-making while staying close to real operating problems — delivery, margins, people, systems, and growth.
What You’ll Do1. CEO Enablement & Business Rhythm
- Act as a force multiplier for the CEO by helping prioritize, structure, and drive follow‑through on key initiatives
- Own preparation, execution, and follow‑up for executive meetings, including weekly leadership meetings, Quarterly Renewal, and Monthly Operating Reviews
- Ensure clarity of priorities across the organization through structured communication and tracking
2. Strategic Initiatives & Special Projects
- Lead cross‑functional initiatives tied to Digi’s operating plan, including:
- Growth acceleration
- Operational scalability
- Integration of new teams, systems, or acquisitions
- Break complex initiatives into clear work streams with owners, timelines, and KPIs
3. Operating Cadence & Accountability
- Help maintain and evolve Digi’s operating system, including:
- Scorecards and KPI reporting
- Quarterly Renewal and goal‑setting processes
- Track execution against commitments and proactively surface risks or blockers
4. Analytical & Decision Support
- Build and synthesize analysis to support executive decision‑making across revenue, backlog, margin, capacity, and headcount
- Translate data into clear insights and recommendations, not just outputs
5. Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with leaders across Operations, Sales, Finance, and People to align efforts and unblock execution
- Serve as a connector across teams, ensuring work doesn’t fall through the cracks
- 2+ years of professional experience, ideally in:
- Security, field services, construction, or operations‑heavy businesses
- Private‑equity‑backed or high‑growth environments
- Operations, strategy, or project management roles with real execution responsibility
- Experience working cross‑functionally and influencing without direct authority
- Strong organizational and execution skills - you get things done
- High judgment and comfort operating with ambiguity
- Analytical mindset with the ability to connect numbers to operational reality
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication
- Ability to build trust with senior leaders and frontline teams alike
- Bias toward ownership, accountability, and follow‑through
- Operator mentality - practical, grounded, and action‑oriented
- Curious, coachable, and eager to learn
- Comfortable being in the middle of the business, not just observing it
- Direct exposure to CEO‑level decision‑making in a scaling business
- Meaningful responsibility and ownership, not just “support”
- Opportunity to grow into senior operational or leadership roles over time
- Work that directly impacts the safety and well‑being of communities
- Based in Texas (hybrid with meaningful in‑person collaboration)
- Must be open to travel monthly to visit branch offices
- Competitive compensation based on experience, with upside tied to impact and growth
