Selby Jennings is currently partnered with a dynamic and growing Real Estate firm here in Dallas. They are seeking a Director, Investor Relations to join the team in the near term.
This role is pivotal in building and nurturing strong relationships with investors while leading fundraising initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of capital markets within the real estate sector, outstanding communication abilities, and a proven history of successful fundraising. This is an excellent opportunity to shape investor relations strategy and contribute to the growth and success of the organization.
The position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
- Lead and execute capital-raising strategies for a range of private real estate investment vehicles.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective investors.
- Develop strategic fundraising plans and adapt offerings to align with market trends.
- Prepare and deliver investor-facing materials, including presentations and performance updates.
- Oversee the creation of offering documents and manage investor inquiries and due diligence processes.
- Organize and coordinate investor meetings, calls, and events.
- Track industry trends and competitor fundraising activities to inform strategy.
- Ensure clear, consistent communication with investors throughout the investment lifecycle.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align fundraising efforts with broader financial objectives.
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field (preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in capital raising and investor relations.
- Demonstrated success in securing commitments for private investment vehicles.
- Established network of institutional and high-net-worth investors.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical ability to interpret financial statements and market data.
- Strategic mindset with excellent organizational skills.
