We feature across many of the fundamental touchpoints within a footballing consumer journey and enable our partners to achieve against a number of important metrics: commercial, local & global fan engagement, CSR, GDI, and Club Foundation and Charity revenue.
Role OverviewThe main focus for this role will be to nurture and develop relationships with our US network of partners to ensure trust, positivity and profitability and to deliver best‑in‑class partnership management at every level. Your focus will be on securing consistent commercial growth across our US partnership network.
Key Responsibilities- End‑to‑end responsibility for developing assigned US partnerships
- Identify and execute opportunities within our US partnerships to maximise financial performance
- Add maximum value to US partners by building trust and strengthening personal relationships
- Identify, engage and develop relationships with stakeholders and brands within the wider relevant sporting landscape
- Ensure and enable smooth cooperation between the US partnership team and other teams within the company
- Integrate and develop new business concepts within the MWS group (Frame The Game, Fabricks etc.) within the partnership network
- Lead by example and act as an ambassador for the company vision and values
- Highly driven and an efficient communicator, able to articulate thoughts, initiatives and feedback to stakeholders
- Capable of thriving in the dynamic, often hectic world of sports across a variety of cultures and languages
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently while enabling the team through strong vision and positive leadership
- Team player comfortable managing internal and external relationships at every level of the partnership hierarchy
- Strong commercial acumen and natural negotiation skills, willing to take on challenging conversations
- Excellent understanding of our business and the sports market – passion at the intersection of sports, fan culture and commercial growth
- Develop and position new revenue and growth opportunities within our partner network
- Provide specific ideas for successful routes for Match Worn Shirt
- Problem‑solving mindset, proactively finding solutions and building trust through best‑practice implementation
- Pro‑active, self‑starter mentality with a can‑do spirit
- Proven track record in partnerships, with direct experience in activating rights holders, brands or agencies
- Right to work in the USA
- 8 years of working experience in a sports commercial role
- A degree in a relevant field
- Development of our US partnership strategy alongside the Head of Partnerships and US colleagues
- Regular travel to visit partners across the region and to our HQ in Amsterdam
- Expansion into new sports and bridging cross‑cultural barriers
- Work closely with the marketing team to effectively communicate how our partnerships work
- Guide the team through a rapid scaling phase, building solid structure while maintaining team identity and spirit
- Sculpt and nurture a young, bright international team and hire new members to fuel expansion plans
