What You’ll Get to DoThe Category Manager is focused on strategic sourcing and procurement for indirect goods/services, and MRO expenditures, and reports to the Procurement Director.
This role is perfect for an individual who is analytical, collaborative, and detail-oriented. A vital member of the Procurement Team, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.
Job responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sourcing strategy for the Indirect/MRO category.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and provide procurement support.
- Lead procurement processes including RFPs, RFQs, and supplier evaluations.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and monitor performance to drive continuous improvement.
- Drive cost‑saving initiatives while maintaining quality and compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of purchasing experience, including 2+ years managing indirect goods & services, and MRO.
- Strong understanding of legal and contractual principles with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead across organizational boundaries.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and monitor performance to drive continuous improvement.
