Position Overview
As the Chief of Staff to the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) at Equinix, you will support the CPO in driving the strategic direction of the Procurement function. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to optimize procurement processes, drive efficiency, and enhance business performance.
Responsibilities- Collaborate closely with the CPO to identify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings, and supplier optimization.
- Leverage data analysis and insights to present actionable recommendations for decision‑making.
- Drive change management initiatives and embed new ways of working across teams.
- Navigate ambiguity and respond quickly to emerging priorities with agility and confidence.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the CPO, facilitating communication and coordination with senior executives, department leaders, and cross‑functional teams.
- Influence and communicate effectively at the board and senior leadership level to drive strategic decisions.
- Oversee and optimize the procurement process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices.
- Monitor and analyze procurement performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Lead or participate in cross‑functional corporate projects, coordinating efforts among different teams and ensuring project milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with Finance and Procurement personnel to develop and manage budgets, ensuring appropriate resource allocation and cost control.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards, mitigating potential risks as needed.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the Procurement team, providing mentorship and guidance to team members.
- Proven experience in procurement operations, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, ideally within a global organization.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence, motivate, and mentor a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and use insights to drive decision‑making.
- Project management experience, with a track record of successfully leading cross‑functional initiatives.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices, legal requirements, and compliance standards.
- Proactive and innovative mindset, adapting to a fast‑paced and dynamic business environment.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (equivalent experience preferred).
- 7+ years of experience.
United States – Dallas Infomart Office: $155,000 – $233,000 USD/Annual
United States – Denver Office: $155,000 – $233,000 USD/Annual
