Sr. Director of Strategic Alliances

This position will report directly to the VP of Strategic Partnerships and Business Development for Software/Vertical Markets/Genius POS, leading the partnerships team. The Senior Director of Strategic Alliances is responsible for cultivating strategic partnerships and driving business development efforts for Global Payments’ Zego business unit, a leading property management software company providing solutions for resident billing, payments, and property operations.

The Senior Director of Strategic Alliances drives revenue‑generating initiatives with and through partnerships, accelerates Global Payments’ expansion into the property management space by negotiating and implementing commercial partner agreements, and develops the alliances strategy in close collaboration with Product strategy, Product Management, Development, Sales, and Marketing. The role guides partner capabilities and priorities to meet/exceed revenue targets, establishes partner performance criteria, and ensures effective collaboration with partners for business success.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, grow and manage Zego’s strategic payment partnerships to expand and enhance Zego’s platform of payment solutions, ensuring alignment with partner and client goals.
  • Lead a partnerships team of 7 members managing the full partnership lifecycle, from strategy and inception to go‑to‑market motion and ongoing support.
  • Collaborate with Product, Sales, Marketing, Legal, Operations, and other leadership to align partnerships with company strategy.
  • Coordinate with Zego Marketing and Sales to enable current and new product and program offerings for maximum adoption and revenue.
  • Manage and grow current partner initiatives and create proactive new programs to drive revenue via payment partner channels.
  • Identify, evaluate and negotiate strategic partnership opportunities, performing partner due diligence with market research and technical assessment, presenting recommendations to executive management.
  • Lead complex meetings and negotiations with potential partners to pursue business opportunities and protect the company’s interests.
  • Prospect partners and discover opportunities to propose potential business deals.
  • Guide the team to design analytical frameworks for decision-making and to identify business and operational opportunities and risks.
  • Advocate for investment in current partnerships and promote collaboration across Zego and Global Payments.
  • Create and maintain commercial best practices to drive go‑to‑market planning, coordination, and execution.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 5+ years of successful partner sales and management.
  • 5+ years experience with Property Management solutions, payment and/or software solutions.
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Track record of building and maintaining relationships with partners and clients.
  • Experience working with large cross‑functional teams (product, sales, marketing, legal, operations).
  • Ability to travel up to 40 %.
