The Global Category Manager role will be based out of our Bluebeam, Inc Office in Dallas, TX. The Global Category Manager manages categories for indirect procurement across the Nemetschek Group, driving strategic sourcing excellence, supplier partnerships, and cross‑entity collaboration to achieve long‑term value creation and sustainability. The role reports to the Nemetschek Group's Head of Global Procurement based in the German HQ.
Responsibilitiesin Detail
- Develop and regularly review global category strategies for indirect procurement, aligning with group objectives and market dynamics.
- Analyze and interpret category‑specific market trends to identify value creation opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
- Identify synergies and category optimization opportunities such as cost reduction, process streamlining, and group‑wide bundling.
- Lead the full strategic sourcing process in compliance with Group Procurement Policy, from demand and supply analysis through supplier selection and implementation.
- Prepare and present sourcing recommendations to the Global Sourcing Council.
- Ensure sourcing rigor and policy adherence across Nemetschek brands through clear governance, tools, and guidance.
- Lead and conduct supplier negotiations to secure best‑in‑class commercial and contractual outcomes.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of cost‑saving and value‑driven projects; deliver measurable savings and cost containment targets.
- Oversee accurate reporting, documentation, and performance tracking in alignment with group‑wide standards.
- Drive initiatives that go beyond cost—focusing on innovation, supplier diversity, sustainability, and quality improvements.
- Act as a strategic business partner to internal stakeholders, aligning procurement strategies with business goals across brands and regions.
- Support the global rollout and adoption of the Coupa procurement platform and digital procurement initiatives.
- Ensure full compliance with group and brand procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Build strong, collaborative supplier relationships that fuel new solutions, materials, and processes.
- Lead adoption of digital procurement tools (like Coupa), automating workflows and enabling data‑driven decision‑making.
- Drive value creation beyond pure savings—bringing in sustainability initiatives, high‑quality standards, and continuous improvements.
- Foster the transformation of Procurement to a strategic business partner, raising the overall competence and bandwidth of the team.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in strategic sourcing or category management, preferably in global or matrix organizations.
- Strong expertise in indirect spend categories (e.g., IT, professional services, marketing, corporate services, facilities).
- Proven track record in leading global sourcing projects and delivering strategic savings.
- Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and influencing skills across cultures and seniority levels.
- Familiarity with eProcurement tools; experience with Coupa is highly advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field;
Master’s degree preferred. - Strategic thinker with hands‑on execution skills and a high degree of business acumen.
- Comfortable in a global, fast‑paced environment requiring cross‑functional collaboration.

Base pay offered will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations. Base pay is one part of Nemetschek’s Total Rewards program, which seeks to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most non‑sales positions are eligible for a bonus under the terms of an applicable bonus plan. Additionally, Nemetschek provides best‑in‑class benefits and paid time off. The base pay range for this position is: $110,000 – $140,000 plus eligible bonus.
