Description
GOH is a small management consulting firm supporting the federal government since 1997 (). We are looking for an energetic new team member experienced in Federal grants management to support our Office of Head Start client.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of independently managing multiple grants management projects for federal clients and supervising teams. They will actively manage teams of grant resources and task orders, serve as a project lead, and be a client-facing point of contact. The candidate should contribute positively to our collaborative and fast-paced culture.
Responsibilities
- Ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables
- Communicate professionally and tactfully
- Prepare and track grants through review and funding process
- Review grant applications and facilitate review panels as appropriate
- Coordinate with federal and contractor staff on grant reviews and awards
- Prepare continuation FAAs and NOAs
- Analyze grantee performance and financial reports
- Process waiver requests, grant modifications, and related documents
- Monitor fiscal performance and expenditures of grantees
- Support audit review and resolution
- Assist with monitoring activities like site visits and desk reviews
- Communicate with grantees and technical assistance providers
- Provide guidance on regulations and policies
- Document data and communications in management systems
- Maintain electronic files and prepare grant closeouts
- Conduct performance analyses and prepare reports
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred
- At least 3 years of experience guiding and assisting early childhood or related programs
- At least 1 year of program oversight experience
- Knowledge of Head Start and grant systems preferred
- Experience with discretionary grants is a plus
- Ability to analyze and present data from multiple sources
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Interpersonal skills for stakeholder collaboration
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data management software
- Experience creating project documentation and quality control procedures
- Ability to work onsite at the Regional Office
Work Environment & Physical Demands
The role is based in a typical office setting, requiring sitting, occasional walking, and standing. It is a full-time exempt position with 40-60 hours/week, including some outside regular hours and travel (~10%).
