Job Description

The Corporate Planning & Management (CPM) Division unifies Finance & Planning, Spend Management, Operational Risk and Resilience, and CPM Engineering teams to deliver business planning and analytics, expense management, third‑party risk management, and governance strategies across the firm.

CPM has five operating pillars:

  • Finance & Planning supports execution of strategic objectives, manages the planning process, firmwide reporting and analytics.
  • Global Procurement enables third‑party engagements, drives sustainability, optimizes value, fosters innovation and mitigates risks.
  • Product & Reporting manages end‑to‑end product lifecycle and reporting capabilities.
  • CPM Engineering delivers solutions that enable the firm to manage third‑party spend, data and automation, forecasting and budgeting.
  • CPM Management provides strategic oversight and operational support across the division.
Role Overview

Professionals in CPM exhibit an analytical mindset, intellectual curiosity and come from diverse academic backgrounds. This role sits within Global Procurement and requires collaboration across functions, independent work, frequent interaction with senior stakeholders, in‑depth analysis and reporting, and excellent communication skills.

Job Responsibilities
  • Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
    • Support development and execution of category strategies aligned with organizational objectives, leveraging market insights and AI‑driven analytics.
    • Conduct in‑depth spend analysis and market research, utilizing AI tools to uncover patterns, forecast demand and inform strategic decisions.
    • Manage the full category lifecycle, including supplier selection, RFx processes, contract negotiation and partnership on implementation.
    • Incorporate total cost of ownership into negotiation strategies and drive continuous improvement.
    • Support compliance with the firm‑wide Third‑Party Risk and Control Framework.
    • Engage with risk partners across the organization to manage risks and resolve sourcing issues.
  • Stakeholder Management & Influence
    • Serve as primary point of contact and strategic advisor for assigned business partners.
    • Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders across Finance, IT, Legal, Operations, etc.
    • Facilitate cross‑functional alignment and provide executive updates to gain consensus.
    • Influence decision‑making by presenting data‑driven insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Commercial Acumen & Negotiation
    • Demonstrate strong commercial acumen, understanding cost structures, contracting and financing.
    • Lead negotiations to secure optimal pricing, terms and innovation while preserving relationships.
    • Analyze complex procurement challenges, synthesize data and develop objective recommendations.
    • Collaborate with legal teams to draft and negotiate contract terms, pricing models, vendor incentives, SLAs and performance indicators.
    • Monitor market dynamics and adjust category strategies accordingly.
  • AI‑Enabled Sourcing Environment
    • Leverage AI for spend understanding, supplier performance, risk monitoring and contract intelligence.
    • Utilize AI‑driven insights to optimize purchasing decisions and risk management.
    • Adopt new AI tools and technologies to streamline procurement processes.

  • Experience with sourcing procure‑to‑pay tools such as Ariba, Fieldglass, PMweb.

Location:

Dallas, Texas – Travel may be required.
