Responsibilities

• Perform work outlined on repair orders efficiently and accurately, following dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnose vehicle problems based on customer complaints and inspections.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Save and tag parts for warranty or customer requests.
• Examine vehicles for safety or service work needed or recommended.
• Communicate additional work needed or delays to the service advisor.
• Document all work on the repair order.
• Road test vehicles.
• Participate in manufacturer training programs and stay updated on technical bulletins.
• Inspect and test drive newly delivered vehicles for damage or missing components.
• Install optional equipment as specified.
• Report machinery defects or malfunctions.
• Keep vehicles clean and notify the service advisor of any issues affecting appearance or condition.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop area.
• Manage dealership tools and manuals responsibly.
• Comply with safety and environmental regulations.
• Operate tools safely and report safety issues.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience as an auto technician.
• Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance.
• Fast learner, team player, with excellent communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Proficiency with electronic diagnostic equipment and computer skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• ASE certification preferred.
• Willing to undergo background check and drug screening.
