Part-Time | 20 Hours/Week | Opportunity for Full-Time in Summer

About

The Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Real Estate Lease Administration Intern to join our Lease Administration department. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in commercial real estate operations, working alongside experienced professionals on a variety of lease administration functions. High-performing interns will be considered for a full-time position during the summer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with real estate lease assignments, including reviewing, tracking, and organizing lease documentation.
  • Support utility management activities, including contacting utility providers and coordinating address changes related to lease transitions.
  • Perform lease abstractions — summarizing key lease terms, dates, obligations, and financial data into standardized formats.
  • Assist with Common Area Maintenance (CAM) audits, including reviewing landlord reconciliation statements and verifying charges for accuracy.
  • Maintain and update lease administration databases and internal tracking systems.
  • Communicate professionally with utility providers, landlords, and internal stakeholders via phone and email.
  • Support the lease administration team with general administrative tasks and special projects as needed.
Qualifications Required
  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
  • Prior coursework or experience in real estate, property management, or lease administration.
  • Familiarity with lease terminology and commercial real estate concepts.
  • Experience with lease management or accounting software is a plus.
