Job Description - Administrative Assistant III (226 Days) (RTP) Job Description Description

  • Participates in student recruitment activities, calling parents of potential new students for registration and to fill vacant school choice seats throughout the school year.
  • Coordinates the day-to-day functions of the Welcome Center to meet the objectives of the center
  • Serve as a liaison between parents and Dallas ISD departments.
  • Organize and maintain routine office work.
  • Assists with information and records requests.
  • Perform administrative duties including maintaining the filing system, ordering and maintaining office supplies, placing and receiving telephone calls and recorded messages, processing routine correspondence, typing documents and correspondence.
  • Responsible for providing administrative and technical support to office staff.
  • Initiate, track and submit all departmental monthly payroll.
  • Responsible for providing information and documentation to the Executive Director.
  • Organize and retain records of all visitors to the Welcome Center.
  • Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent (U.S.A. Equivalency) required and advanced secretarial training;
    Associate’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Dallas ISD schools, communities, operations and administrative policies.
  • Three years clerical experience.
  • Computer skills, related to MS Office Professional.
  • Demonstrated efficiency in compiling and processing information requests.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet established deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with frequent interruptions (multi-task).
  • Great organizational, customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of district personnel and parents.
