Team

A&M’s Private Equity Performance Improvement Services (PEPI) practice serves upper middle‑market and large‑cap private equity firms across the US, focusing on improving operating results at their portfolio companies (the $50 million to +$1 billion range). We bring a structured, disciplined approach to create and capture value, providing buyers with knowledge and tools for mergers, acquisitions, carve‑outs, joint ventures, and alliances.

How You Will Contribute

The Executive Assistant is an internal role within the PEPI practice, reporting to the Operations Director. PEPI is a growing business aiming for high growth in the next two to five years. Your role is to serve as a dedicated, people‑ and solutions‑oriented problem solver, charged with end‑to‑end administrative initiatives.

Our EAs are strategic partners who enable teams to deliver gold‑standard work to clients. In addition to providing administrative leadership for the practice, you will plan, coordinate, and execute special projects and events. The candidate should be motivated, resourceful, organized, poised, and able to operate independently with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Support designated Managing Directors in all capacities, including calendar management through Outlook.
  • Handle travel arrangements from planning to booking flights, hotels, and ground transportation.
  • Prepare and submit expense reports for Managing Directors using Concur, ensuring timely reconciliation of corporate credit card transactions.
  • Work closely with staff to keep the team informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up as needed.
  • Accurately record Managing Directors’ hours in Agresso to support effective financial tracking and resource management.
  • Prepare and submit conflict memos and request project codes to facilitate engagement tracking and compliance.
  • Review and process vendor invoices to ensure timely and accurate payment to vendors.
  • Assist with client invoice and allocation processes.
  • Update Pipeline with current information as requested by Managing Directors or others on the team.
  • Help plan, coordinate, and attend mid‑year, year‑end, and other internal or client‑facing events as needed.
  • Assist with departmental and operational activities/projects as needed and perform other work‑related duties as assigned.
  • Assist in the preparation of PPT decks and marketing materials for proposals, collaborating across relationship management and marketing to obtain relevant materials.
  • Support event planning alongside travel 1–3 times per year.
  • Support recruitment function (as needed), including candidate interview scheduling and coordination.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience as an Executive Assistant or in Business Operations, preferably within consulting or professional services.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in a relevant field of study or equivalent experience (degree in business-related field a plus).
  • Highly proficient in computer and calendaring skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, Concur, and SharePoint.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to support multiple executives with diverse working styles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills focused on clarity, thoroughness, follow‑through, and confidentiality.
