Legal Assistant​/Paralegal

Overview

We are a multi-state law firm seeking a new addition to our office support staff in our Houston office.

• This person will perform administrative and office support activities for the firm.
• Duties may include fielding telephone calls, drafting/producing documents, data entry, filing, and faxing.
• Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills, ability to work as part of a team, and a strong work ethic are important.
• Internet research abilities and strong communication skills are desired.

• 2+ years of office/clerical experience; prior legal experience is a plus.
• Clerical work and multi-tasking capabilities.
• Planning, organizing and time management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate orally as well as in writing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and the Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn new programs.
• Ability to research and analyze information.
• Judgment, tact, and discretion in handling information.
