Senior Payroll Accountant; to reside in Texas

Salary: $90K–$100K Base + up to 10% Bonus

A large, established organization is seeking a Senior Accountant with strong payroll experience to join its corporate accounting team. This role offers visibility to senior leadership and blends payroll accounting with general ledger responsibilities.

• Lead month-end close activities
• Prepare payroll journal entries and reconciliations
• Perform balance sheet and income statement analysis
• Manage accruals and intercompany reconciliations
• Support audits and ensure US GAAP compliance
• Assist with process improvements and ad-hoc projects
• Over time, primarily during month-end and year-end close cycles.

• 3–5+ years of accounting experience
• Strong payroll background (corporate payroll accounting experience required)
• Experience in mid-to-large-sized organizations
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Business (required)
• Strong Excel skills; ERP experience preferred (UKG/Ultipro a plus)
• CPA preferred
