The Staff Accountant supports the financial operations of a multi-unit restaurant organization. This role assists with month-end close, reconciliations, AP/AR functions, and financial reporting while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts
- Review daily sales and POS reports; investigate variances
- Support inventory, food, and labor cost analysis
- Process vendor invoices and maintain accurate AP records
- Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and audits
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
- 1–3 years of accounting experience (restaurant or multi-unit preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong Excel skills and accounting software proficiency
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
