Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role plays a key part in the month-end close process, account reconciliations, journal entries, cash applications, and accounts payable process. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and able to manage multiple priorities. This role is ideal for an early-career professional seeking hands-on experience in general ledger accounting and financial reporting within a collaborative team environment.

Location:

Dallas, TX | USA | Full-time Onsite

Responsibilities:

* Prepare and post accurate journal entries in accordance with GAAP

* Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes

* Perform account reconciliations (bank, cash, etc.)

* Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts

* Analyze financial data and investigate account variances

* Support accounts payable and receivable processes as needed

* Ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions

* Maintain supporting documentation for audit purposes

* Monitor compliance with internal controls and company policies

* Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency

* Research and resolve basic accounting discrepancies

* Collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve accounting issues

* Assist with special projects as needed

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required

* Proficient in Excel

* Strong understanding of GAAP fundamentals

Strong Candidates will:
