Accounting Manager

Our client is a growing specialty construction company seeking a hands‑on Accounting Manager to oversee all accounting and financial operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building structure, improving processes, and partnering closely with ownership in a fast‑moving, entrepreneurial environment.

• Own day‑to‑day accounting operations using Quick Books Online
• Manage job and project costing
  , ensuring accurate tracking of labor, materials, and margins
• Oversee monthly close
  , financial statements, and management reporting
• Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
• Work with outside CPA for Tax Purposes
• Manage payroll and payroll‑related reporting (ADP, Paylocity, or similar systems)
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and support external accountants as needed
• Improve and document accounting processes as the company continues to grow
• Provide financial insights to help leadership make informed business decisions

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience
  , preferably within construction or project‑based environments
• Strong hands‑on experience with Quick Books Online
• Proven experience with job/project costing
• Payroll system experience (ADP, Paylocity, or similar)
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the full accounting function
• CPA is a plus
