Cvent is seeking a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will perform a variety of daily accounting activities related to the general ledger and will assist in the month end close process, annual audits. The Senior Accountant will prepare a variety of account and bank reconciliations, perform account analysis, and assist with recurring and ad hoc reporting. The Senior Accountant will also work on special projects, prepare schedules for our external auditors and work with other staff and our internal auditors to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

Individuals seeking a challenging, multifaceted role in a fast‑paced work environment will enjoy the diverse responsibilities of this key position within our Finance department. This position reports to our Director of Accounting, and requires Big Four experience and a CPA (preferred). This Role, You Will:
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions
  • Participate in month‑end close process and prepare monthly reconciliation schedules
  • Determine proper handling of financial transactions and approve transactions within designated limits (i.e., accounts payable invoices and entries)
  • Perform financial analyses to determine trends and significant changes, and write narrative reports explaining findings
  • Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and interpret current company financial position for senior managers, Global Controller and CFO
  • Assist with SOX audit work as needed to ensure corporate compliance
  • Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures
Here’s What You Need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • 3 – 5+ years of progressive financial and accounting related work experience
  • Big Four accounting experience and CPA preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Self‑starter who is action oriented, organized, and possesses a strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to work well in a team‑oriented and intensely deadline‑driven environment
  • Experience using Kyriba, Blackline, EBS, Alteryx, Bot/RPA
  • SEC reporting and SOX experience are pluses
