Cash Application Specialist

Our client in the Lovefield area has an immediate need for a Contract Cash Application Specialist.

The Cash Application Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient application of incoming payments, reconciling accounts using bank match in Netsuite, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve discrepancies. This role is critical in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the organization’s overall cash flow management.

• Identify and address unapplied or misapplied payments promptly.
• Accurately post payments from various sources (e.g., ACH, wire transfers, checks, credit cards) to the appropriate accounts in Netsuite

• Reconcile the unapplied payments account to resolve outstanding items.
• Perform regular reconciliation of the 1099 Undeposited Funds account..

• Partner with the Accounts Receivable team to investigate and resolve payment discrepancies in customer accounts.

• Prepare and maintain cash application reports to track performance and accuracy.
• Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and minimize errors in cash application workflows.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Net Suite experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in cash applications and account reconciliation is preferred.
