Senior Accountant

Synergy Search is partnering with a private equity-backed company seeking a Senior Accountant to support the continued growth of the accounting function. This role will be instrumental in strengthening month-end processes, improving controls, and supporting leadership with timely and accurate financial reporting.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment and is comfortable operating in a PE setting with high visibility and accountability.

• Lead and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure GAAP compliance
• Support preparation of financial statements and management reporting packages
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Partner with FP&A to analyze variances and performance trends
• Support external audits and coordinate with auditors
• Strengthen internal controls and accounting processes
• Assist with cash management, treasury activities, and debt compliance reporting
• Support acquisition integration and other strategic initiatives as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA preferred
• 4 to 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience in private equity-backed, high-growth, or multi-entity environments preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Advanced Excel skills
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
• Ability to operate independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
