We are a leading private equity-backed organization with annual revenues exceeding $1B. With a national footprint and continued growth initiatives, we are seeking a high-performing Senior Corporate Accountant to join our corporate accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a complex, large-company environment that values process improvement, operational excellence, and career development.

The Senior Corporate Accountant will play a critical role in the monthly close process, financial reporting, and maintaining the integrity of the Company’s financial records. This individual will work cross-functionally with various departments and contribute to technical accounting matters, process enhancements, and internal control initiatives. The ideal candidate brings 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a large public or private company environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper supporting documentation
  • Perform complex monthly balance sheet reconciliations and proactively resolve discrepancies
  • Lead components of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes in an accelerated close environment
  • Assist in preparation of consolidated internal financial reports and management reporting packages
  • Analyze account activity, identify trends, and research material variances
  • Support external audit process by preparing schedules and serving as a liaison for audit requests
  • Assist with technical accounting research and documentation as needed
  • Evaluate and enhance internal controls to ensure SOX compliance (if applicable)
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within the accounting function
  • Mentor and support junior accounting staff as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Large company ($500M+ revenue) or public accounting experience preferred
  • CPA candidate strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
  • Experience working in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, Dynamics, or similar)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
