With a national footprint and continued growth initiatives, we are seeking a high-performing Senior Corporate Accountant to join our corporate accounting team. The Senior Corporate Accountant will play a critical role in the monthly close process, financial reporting, and maintaining the integrity of the Company’s financial records. This individual will work cross-functionally with various departments and contribute to technical accounting matters, process enhancements, and internal control initiatives. The ideal candidate brings 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a large public or private company environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper supporting documentation
- Perform complex monthly balance sheet reconciliations and proactively resolve discrepancies
- Lead components of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes in an accelerated close environment
- Assist in preparation of consolidated internal financial reports and management reporting packages
- Analyze account activity, identify trends, and research material variances
- Support external audit process by preparing schedules and serving as a liaison for audit requests
- Assist with technical accounting research and documentation as needed
- Evaluate and enhance internal controls to ensure SOX compliance (if applicable)
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within the accounting function
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Large company ($500M+ revenue) or public accounting experience preferred
- CPA candidate strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Experience working in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, Dynamics, or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
