Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Collections Clerk to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of up to $50,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Follow up on overdue invoices and coordinate with internal teams and clients to confirm payment status.
  • Manage email communications and file correspondence in the correct folders for easy reference.
  • Handle incoming calls related to collections and address questions about past due balances.
  • Review payer statements to identify accounts that require follow up or collection action.
  • Assist with posting entries for payables and receivables and support the collections team as needed.
Requirements:
  • 1+ year(s) of experience in collections or a related accounting function.
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to track many accounts and tasks at the same time.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills with a professional phone manner.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel and comfort using office software tools.
  • Ability to work well with others and maintain a customer service mindset.
Qualifications:
  • Attention to detail with reliable documentation and record keeping habits.
  • Active listening skills and a collaborative approach when working with team members and clients.
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and follow through on commitments.
  • Problem solving ability to research payment issues and reconcile account differences.
  • Willingness to take on additional tasks and support special projects as assigned.
