Director of Accounting

We’re hiring:
Director of Accounting | PE-Backed | Hybrid (Dallas Area)

A high-growth, PE-backed company in the e-commerce space is hiring a Director of Accounting to help scale and professionalize the accounting function. This is a hands-on leadership role with real ownership of the close, team buildout, and process improvement.

You’ll partner closely with finance leadership and play a key role in strengthening controls, improving efficiency, and supporting continued growth.

• Hybrid schedule, 2 to 3 days in office

• Own the monthly and quarterly close process end to end
• Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations
• Oversee balance sheet and cash activity
• Drive process improvements and scalability initiatives
• Support audits and maintain strong internal controls
• Hire, develop, and lead accounting team members

• 7+ years of accounting experience preferred
• Experience in PE-backed or fast-paced private company environments
• Proven close ownership and leadership experience
• CPA is a plus, not required
• Not a fit for straight public accounting backgrounds
