Senior Accountant

Empowered Staffing is partnered with a high-volume metal recycling company serving commercial and public clients throughout the Dallas market. As they continue to grow, the company is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee day-to-day financial operations, manage AR and AP activities, perform reconciliations, and support financial reporting activities.

• Manage high-volume AR and AP activities, process invoices, receive payments, and log checks in Quick Books.
• Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations and maintain accurate daily cash tracking and reporting.
• Coordinate with the external bookkeeper and CPA for quarterly reviews.
• Identify inefficiencies in largely manual accounting workflows and support the implementation and optimization of new processes to enhance efficiency.
• Assist with evaluating and implementing new accounting technologies and building scalable processes, internal controls, and documentation standards.

• 5+ years of accounting experience (manufacturing, recycling, procurement, or high-volume transaction environments preferred).
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas required).
• Experience with Quick Books.
• Ability to manage multiple moving parts with extreme attention to detail.
• Spanish-speaking is a plus.
