About the Firm
Vail & Park, P.C. is a local public accounting firm formed in 2005 and currently has three office locations in Texas:
Frisco, Dallas, and Tom Bean. Over the years, the Firm has grown organically and through mergers:
Hart & Company in 2007, Gregg & Company CPAs in 2009, Hendricks Graves & Associates in 2012, LaFollett & Company PLLC in 2023, and Huber Prater & Henson, P.C. in 2025. With 45 employees, the Firm is primarily comprised of five departments – Audit and Assurance, SOC/Cybersecurity, Tax, Peer Review and Advisory Services.
The tax department is a team of dedicated professionals, each specializing in different areas. Together, they provide tax services for businesses and individuals, regarding business tax, state tax, local tax, and sales tax.

Job DescriptionVail & Park, P.C. is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who excels in client interaction and technical precision. In this role, you will lead tax planning discussions, build and maintain strong client relationships, and oversee the preparation and review of work papers. Collaboration is key – you’ll work closely with our team to drive the success and growth of our tax department.
Responsibilities- Client Engagement: Maintain ongoing client ownership and serve as a trusted advisor.
- Planning & Execution: Lead and support tax planning discussions with clients.
- Tax Leadership: Oversee technical execution and review of tax work papers.
- Team
Collaboration:
Coordinate with team members to ensure quality and efficiency. - Work Ethic: Contribute to the development and success of the tax department.
- 3+ years of tax experience in public accounting (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (required)
- CPA License preferred or demonstrated progress towards obtaining license;
Passed all four parts of the CPA exam is strongly (preferred). - Advanced expertise with tax returns including but not limited to 1120S, 1065, 1120, and 1040 forms.
- Strong technical knowledge of corporate and individual tax compliance
- Excellent communication skills to communicate complex tax concepts clearly to clients
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a full client load independently
- A positive attitude and a team player mentality, willing and eager to assist others with a can-do spirit
Location/
Schedule:
Dallas, TX | Full-time | Monday–Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Salary range
: $70,000 – $100,000 annually
