POSITION OVERVIEW:
Staff Accountant will have primary responsibility for the daily Federal Reserve bank reconciliation process for Tolleson Private Bank and the Accounts Payable function.
REPORTS TO:Corporate Controller
DUTIES And RESPONSIBILITIES- Perform daily bank related reconciliations
- Perform month-end balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with data gathering for various internal and external audits
- Help Finance and Accounting Team with special projects and staff accounting workload as needed
- Responsible for processing accounts payable for multiple companies in Net Suite accounting system
- Input vendor invoices into Net Suite working with approving managers from all subsidiaries and departments across the firm to verify required fields including memo descriptions and department coding
- Research new vendors and work with approving managers on required vendor due diligence
- Create new vendor profiles in Net Suite with primary subsidiary, approving manager, default general ledger account coding, bank payment details and Form W-9
- Monitor all Corporate credit cards spending and ensure completeness of vendor invoice submission from approving managers for processing through accounts payable
- Work with Corporate Controller on timing of accounts payable payment processing (ACH and manual check processing) and ensuring availability of funds for all subsidiaries
- Correspond with vendors regarding vendor invoices and payments
- Prepare and issue all annual 1099 tax documents
- Other administrative duties as assigned by management
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business
- Minimum four years' experience in a similar role
- Regulated banking industry experience preferred
- Experience working with Net Suite or similar cloud-based accounting system
- Attention to detail must be a strength
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with monthly close deadlines
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, initiative, and ability to make decisions within guidelines
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Loop, Copilot, etc)
- Ability to maintain extreme confidentiality in dealing with client matters
- Must consent to and have favorable consumer report, background check
