Accountant, Tax Accountant, Accounting & Finance

Rainey & Royals CPA is growing, and we are seeking a highly skilled Accountant, Enrolled Agent (EA) or a CPA to join our tax team as a Tax Reviewer & Preparer. This role is ideal for an EA with strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.

• Prepare and review individual and business tax returns
• Conduct final reviews of returns prepared by team members
• Resolve tax notices and assist with IRS phone calls, penalty abatements, and client tax issues
• Research tax law and apply findings to client situations
• Communicate with clients via email and phone; send and manage e-signature requests
• Assist with bookkeeping questions and estimated tax calculations
• Update and monitor return status in Pro Series and workflow software
• Participate in client meetings and provide support to the tax team
• Inform office staff of: IRS News
• Internal deadline dates for filing extensions, client communications (annual email blast & organizer send out)
• Proficiency in Pro Series Professional Tax Software
• Experience preparing, reviewing, and resolving tax matters in a fast-paced environment

• Strong knowledge of Quick Books Online and Quick Books Desktop
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and communicate clearly
• Hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote)
• Must be able to work 5–6 days/week during the 4-week periods leading up to major tax deadlines
