Staff Accountant

We are recruiting for a home service company in North Dallas seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant
. This role will be responsible for overseeing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, performing month-end close activities
, and ensuring accurate general ledger accounting
. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and experience in managing transactional accounting for a fast-paced company.

This position pays 70K-80K.

• Month-End Close:
• Prepare and post journal entries for AP, AR, and other related accounts.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements.
• General Ledger Accounting:
• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
• Support audits and provide documentation as needed.
• Process Improvement:
• Identify opportunities to streamline AP/AR workflows and enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in AP/AR and month-end close.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger processes.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
