Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Dallas, Texas. This role involves managing financial processes for multiple small businesses, including both for-profit and non-profit entities. The ideal candidate will excel in reconciliation tasks and possess expertise in corporate tax, general ledger management, and accounts payable.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and analyze financial reports for multiple businesses, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

- Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate account balances.

- Manage accounts payable processes, including timely payment of bills.

- Handle financial operations for 5-6 small clients, including tax and ledger responsibilities.

- Oversee reconciliation tasks to ensure proper documentation and record-keeping.

- Maintain general ledger entries and ensure alignment with corporate accounting standards.

- Process corporate tax returns and sales tax filings as required.

- Collaborate with clinic teams to support financial needs across seven locations.

- Ensure compliance with all applicable tax regulations for both for-profit and non-profit entities.

- Provide accurate journal entries to support monthly and annual financial reporting. Requirements - Proven experience in corporate tax preparation and filings.

- Strong knowledge of sales tax regulations and compliance.

- Proficiency in managing general ledger accounts and journal entries.

- Familiarity with accounts payable processes and reconciliation tasks.

- Ability to handle financial operations for multiple small businesses.

- Experience working with both for-profit and non-profit organizations.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and tools.
