Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a motivated and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This is a contract-to-permanent opportunity within the hospitality industry, offering a dynamic and fast-paced work environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in transitional settings, excels in multi-site accounting, and brings maturity and accountability to the role.

Responsibilities:

- Perform accurate journal entries and ensure timely completion of account reconciliations.

- Manage general ledger activities, including balance sheet tie-outs and checklist reviews.

- Collaborate on multi-site accounting operations within the hospitality industry.

- Utilize accounting software such as Black Line and Great Plains to support financial processes.

- Assist with bank account reconciliations and ensure compliance with corporate accounting standards.

- Work extended hours during month-end and quarter-end close periods to meet deadlines.

- Contribute to improving and enhancing system functionalities related to Black Line and Coupa.

- Maintain professionalism and serve as a role model within the team.

- Support transitional accounting needs and adapt to evolving business requirements. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

- At least 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-site or hospitality environment.

- Proficiency in accounting systems, including Black Line and Great Plains.

- Strong understanding of journal entries, general ledger management, and balance sheet reconciliations.

- Ability to work extended hours during close periods and meet tight deadlines.

- Self-motivated and capable of working independently while contributing to team goals.

- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.

- Demonstrates experience and attention to detail, with a commitment to accountability and high performance.
