Project Accountant

Looking for a short term accounting project where your work actually moves the needle?

We’re partnering with a client who is seeking a Project Accountant to support a data migration following a recent acquisition. This is a project based contract opportunity where you’ll play a hands on role in migrating, validating, and reconciling accounting data across systems during a defined transition period.

* This role, which is roughly 90 days in duration, is ideal for someone who enjoys detailed work, is comfortable with manual processes, and wants to make an immediate impact on a clearly scoped project.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support a data migration initiative following a recent acquisition
• Assist with transferring and validating accounting data between systems
• Perform reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Identify and help resolve discrepancies during the migration process
• Perform hands on, manual data review and cleanup as needed
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders throughout the project

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Project Accountant or in a similar accounting role
• Experience with Quick Books Desktop and or Sage (Sage 50 strongly preferred)
• Exposure to accounting system migrations or conversions is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and comfort with manual, data heavy work
• Ability to work independently in a project based environment
• Willingness to work primarily in office
