CXC Talent Solutions is partnering with a reputable construction and distribution company in Dallas, TX, to identify a dependable and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist with a strong preference for candidates who have sales tax experience and multi-state tax knowledge. This role is responsible for full-cycle accounts receivable functions while playing a key role in sales tax documentation, compliance support, and exemption certificate management across multiple states.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable communicating with both customers and internal teams to ensure timely collections, accurate cash application, and proper tax documentation.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts receivable records
• Perform collection calls and follow up on past-due accounts
• Process credit card and other customer payments
• Post and apply cash receipts to customer accounts
• Prepare and make daily and weekly bank deposits
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies
• Assist with month-end AR close and reporting as needed

• Collect, track, and maintain sales tax exemption certificates for multiple states
• Ensure proper tax documentation is on file to support compliance
• Collaborate with internal teams to verify transaction taxability
• Assist with sales tax reporting, audits, and documentation requests
• Stay informed on basic multi-state sales tax requirements and updates

• Communicate professionally with customers regarding payments, tax documentation, and account inquiries
• Collaborate with accounting, sales, distribution, purchasing, and operations teams to ensure accurate billing and compliance
• Maintain organized digital and physical records
• Support special projects and additional accounting tasks as assigned

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or accounting support
• Sales tax experience and multi-state tax knowledge strongly preferred
• Experience handling exemption certificates is a plus
• Proficiency with accounting or ERP systems (AR experience required)
• Strong Excel skills and high attention to detail
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

• Familiarity with multi-state sales tax compliance
• Experience working in a high-volume transaction environment
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

• 100% onsite office located within or adjacent to the distribution center
• Frequent interaction with distribution, purchasing, and operations teams
