Impact Staffing International is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Tax Accountant to join our client’s growing tax team. This role is ideal for a high‑performing professional with 2–4 years of public accounting experience who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment and enjoys digging into complex tax matters. In this role, you will apply tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely tax provisions and returns, and ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and internal controls.
You’ll work closely with the VP of Tax and gain exposure to both domestic and international tax matters, deepening your technical expertise and partnering with senior tax leadership in a high‑impact role.
- Assist with preparation of quarterly and annual global income tax provisions using One Source Tax Provision software
- Assist with preparation of monthly tax forecasts
- Prepare U.S. federal and state income tax extensions
- Prepare U.S., state, and international income tax returns using One Source Income Tax software
- Prepare local country income tax and indirect tax returns
- Prepare income tax accounting entries and supporting schedules
- Assist with tax research and documentation related to U.S. federal, state, and foreign tax issues
- Support tax audits by responding to notices, gathering data, and preparing support schedules
- Work directly with the VP of Tax on special projects as needed
- Participate in ad hoc and cross‑functional projects
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and confidentiality standards
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (required)
- 2–4 years of income tax provision and compliance experience in a public accounting firm
- Big 4 experience strongly preferred; large regional firms (e.g., Grant Thornton) considered
- Working knowledge of ASC 740 (Accounting for Income Taxes)
- Experience preparing Forms 1120, 5471, and 8858
- Ability to complete basic to intermediate tax research
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism
- Proven ability to prioritize, multi‑task, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Master’s in Taxation
- CPA or CPA candidate
- One Source Income Tax and One Source Tax Provision experience
- International tax exposure
- Oil & gas industry experience (a plus, not required)
- Spanish, Portuguese, and/or French language proficiency
- Organized, curious, and eager to learn
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional follow‑through
