Position Summary:We are seeking a highly detail‑oriented and motivated Staff Accountant who ideally has experience with lease accounting to join our Finance team. This individual will be responsible for ensuring compliance with ASC 842, supporting the month‑end close process, and collaborating cross‑functionally to maintain financial accuracy and process efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting principles, analytical skills, and a desire to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain accounting system including booking journal entries, performing reconciliations, and conducting variance analysis.
- Support month‑end and year‑end close activities related to accrued liabilities and prepaids, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and variance reviews.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all assigned financial reporting areas.
- Adhere to and support internal control processes and policies.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors by providing necessary documentation and explanations during audit procedures.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to assist in management decision‑making and strategic planning.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies within accounting workflows and systems.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to gather required financial data and support business initiatives.
- Stay informed on updates in accounting regulations and industry best practices to maintain expertise in financial reporting standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum of 2 years of general accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting setting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting systems (e.g., Quick Books, SAP)
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
- CPA or CPA candidate.
- Experience in Data Center, Technology Infrastructure, or Energy Operations industries.
- Familiarity with lease accounting (ASC 842) and operating cost allocation.
- Communication:
